MIY Ceramics is an open studio. It is one of few studios still open in South Florida. We house over 20 local potters and ceramic artists. We specialize in cone 6 firing and mix our own glazes. We also teach classes for both adults and kids.
artistic vision: Art should be shared by everyone.
artist statements: I believe that anyone can be a potter. It isn't about how good you are or how much control you have, it is just about sharing the experience of the mud and earth between your fingers and creating something that is uniquely yours. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and if you can make it with your own two hands, it is beautiful to me.
