Doug has been creating art in clay for over 35 years. During the last several years he has
been creating distinctive 'high-fire stoneware pieces that reflect his island home, both in style and color. His work can be found insome of the finest homes and collections in the Country. Many of his pieces are influenced by his coastal surroundings and time spent in Hawaii. All of the functional pieces are 'lead free' and can be placed in the microwave, dishwasher and oven. “A major goal of mine is to transform clay into functional works of Art which will be displayed. used & enjoyed. I create heirloom pieces that, with
reasonable care, will last to be enjoyed for generations.”
